Parent support

Psychology Patient

Parenting can be tough at times no matter who we are. Parenting a child that has experienced traumatic or upsetting times can be especially tough. I offer parent sessions as part of therapy and as a stand-alone intervention.

Parents are often the best people to help their child. I provide a reflective safe place for parents or carers to explore what is going on in their family, to make sense of behaviour through the lens of child development, trauma, loss and attachment as well as understanding why the usual parenting techniques might not be as effective for children who have had a hard time.

Together we look at therapeutic approaches to parenting and tools that can help support your child and improve family relationships.

The more informed you are the more empowered and equipped you are to make a difference.
